Dr. Renuka Thakore, Founder of the Global Sustainable Futures Network, UK, provides leadership to a global Network and the Centre for Social-Legal Studies, administering multidisciplinary activities and research partnerships worldwide. Renuka is the winner of several Awards, including the "Star Volunteer Award 2023", "Entrepreneurial Thinker 2023", and the "Development Leadership: Governor Enrique Tomás Cresto Award 2022". Renuka has embarked on an innovative challenge of building the capacities of the Global South nations, to increase the national capacities to respond to climate change while bringing prosperity to people through fair and equitable sharing of benefits. She is recognised for her vision, connecting academics, businesses, and individuals, bringing together Global South and Global North to involve them in climate adaptation resilience and transition. Tonejit Gad-Harry is in the University of Bristol Business School, with a background in human resource management, leadership, and strategy. Bringing a socio-technical approach to social research, my research interests lie in digitalization, inter-organizational relationships, organisational behaviours and interactions, strategy, leadership, and work futures, as I explore social constructs within technological settings. My current research investigates how technology influences the future of knowledge-intensive work through interactions in synthetic environments while identifying challenges and opportunities for organisations adapting to a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Dr. Abdullah Laghari is a regular faculty member at the Department of English, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah. He joined this University on 27th November, 2018. He pursued M.A in English Applied Linguistics from the University of Sindh in 2011. He joined Institute of English Language and Literature, University of Sindh, Jamshoro on 5th April, 2012 as Research Associate which continued till 5th August, 2013. He joined Education and Literacy Department under the Government of Sindh as a Lecturer English (BPS-17) on 6th August, 2013 which continued till 26th November, 2018. He joined this University on 27th November, 2018. He holds a Doctorate degree in Applied Linguistics from Institute of English Language and Literature, University of Sindh. His areas of interest include Classroom Management, Teaching through Technology, Large Classes, and English for Specific Purposes et cetera. He has attended many national as well as international conferences. He has also facilitated chairs in national conferences. In addition, he has launched several trainings for Professional Development of teachers. Concerning this, he has been actively working at ORIC and Directorate of Executive Training Centre, QUEST for many years.

Mohamed Arafa, Ph.D.

Professor, Faculty of Law, Alexandria University

Mohamed Arafa is a Professor of Law at Alexandria University Faculty of Law (Egypt) and an Adjunct Professor and Clarke Initiative Visiting Scholar at Cornell Law School. He is currently a Visiting Professor at the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP). He previously taught at Prince Sultan University (Saudi Arabia), Chandigarh University (India), the University of Brasília, and the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (Lebanon), among others.

Prof. Arafa holds an LL.B. from Alexandria University (2006), an LL.M. from the University of Connecticut (2008), and an S.J.D. from Indiana University (2013). His teaching and scholarship focus on criminal law, white-collar crime, Islamic law, transitional justice, international and comparative law, and Middle Eastern law. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in journals such as the Cornell Journal of International Law, Seattle Law Review, Marquette Law Review, and others, and with publishers including Oxford, Cambridge, Springer, and Edward Elgar. He is a contributor to JURIST, the American Society for Comparative Law Blog, and LSE’s Religion and Global Society Blog.

He has lectured across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and the Arab world. He was formerly Managing Editor of Arab Law Quarterly and now serves on the editorial board of the LexisNexis Journal of Law in the Middle East.

Professor, Sam Houston State University

Dr. Enrique Mallen earned his PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University. He is Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Sam Houston State University. He has published numerous articles and books on linguistics, poetic language, semiotics and art history. Since 1997 he is director of the Online Picasso Project, a Digital Humanities publication dedicated to the analysis and dissemination of the works by the multilingual and multidisciplinary Pablo Picasso. Kurt Buhring, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Department of Religious Studies and Theology, Saint Mary's College Kurt Buhring is Associate Professor of Religious Studies & Theology at Saint Mary's College (IN). Born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, he earned his BA in Religious Studies from Grinnell College and his PhD in Theology from the University of Chicago Divinity School. Buhring is the author of Spirit(s) in Black Religion: Fire on the Inside (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022) and Conceptions of God, Freedom, and Ethics in African American and Jewish Theology (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008). Both of these texts are a part of Palgrave Macmillan's "Black Religion/Womanist Thought/Social Justice" series.

Buhring's research is focused in Black Theology of Liberation. In particular, he is interested in concepts of understanding the divine-human interaction in ways that foster human agency and positively transform the self and society. His research has also explored issues in modern Jewish theology, religion during the Great Depression, and religious expressions in film. At Saint Mary's College, Buhring teaches courses in social justice, Black theology, interfaith relations, religion and science, and Islam. He has also taught at Westville Correctional Facility as part of the Moreau College Initiative.

Naser Makarem, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Department of Accountancy and Finance, University of Aberdeen

Dr. Naser Makarem is an assistant professor in accounting at the University of Aberdeen, UK. He is the leader of MSc Accounting and Finance programme and Partnerships Programmes Director at Aberdeen Business School. Dr Makarem teaches several courses in the area of financial accounting both in the UK and at overseas partners in China and Qatar. He supervises PhD students and has research interests in the broad area of financial reporting and particularly earnings management. Dr. Makarem’s research mainly focuses on factors influencing corporate financial reporting. In particular, he studies how social, economic and political factors affect earnings management. He is also interested in changes in earnings management behaviour over time as well as the impact of regulatory environment and political and economic factors on such changes. He also studies how earnings manipulation is restricted by factors such as external audit and corporate governance.

Researcher, Department of Financial Economics and Accounting, University of Murcia

Javier Cifuentes-Faura works in the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of Murcia (Spain). His lines of research include those related to public administration and economics, transparency, government, sustainability and green economics. He has published in more than 100 JCR impact journals, such as Public Performance & Management Review, Renewable Energy, Resources Policy, Local Government Studies, Economic Analysis and Policy or Journal of Policy Modeling. He is associate editor of several SSCI journals. He has participated in several international conferences, being invited to some of them as keynote speaker. He has been included in the prestigious Stanford University rankings as one of the 2% most influential researchers in the world in 2022.
